Rock....
If this is your first attempt at a shot like this, good first photo...Not many can get the bee to hold still long enough to take his picture...What I do see bad about the shot is the flowers...Not very attractive here...Find some fresher looking ones and get the bee to come back....

The camera is a fuji s5600 so its a fixed lens Fujinon 10x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38-380mm on a 35mm camera).
Shutter speed of 1/180 sec at F5.6. Focal length of 25mm the flash was forced and a ISO speed of 200. Then I cropped it down and added a ploarizer filter.

Thanks for you intrest.........The Rock

This is an older pic I took, posted here a while back. Try to get as much natural light as you can so you can get the shutter speed up and get in as close as possible. This is with a 18-55mm kit lens on a digital rebel. The more natural light and less flash, the better.

There was hardly any natural light. It was getting very late and the light was dull. So I used what light I had.....Thank you Widowmaker that will help a lot....Rock
