Hello,

i will not give any specifics on this for it is in contention now, but i'm curious to know if this meets the standards of what you all would call "High Contrast" photography. It's one of my favorite pics i've done in a while, and it's bombing big time. So i was wondering if any of you out there think it's high contrast, or not. maybe i missed the whole idea.

i do not know. if it is not high contrast, please tell me your opinions. i would love to know, you will not hurt my feelings

thanks a ton

Personally I think the image is a powerful one. I love your shooting angles in general, and the image has great texture.

RE: the contest, maybe they are asking for color shots only? Or, maybe they're looking for subject matter of contrast as opposed to technical contrast. There was a challenge on dgrin recently for contrast and the winner was a macro of maggots on bright juicy berries. Turned my stomach but what a great interpretation.

this is the second high contrast challenge the site has had, and the first one was a black and white of a black man w/ white stubble. very good picture. but, same idea as mine. mine doesn't show black texture as much as the white, but i think it's shown.

voters have their opinions, and i'm just trying to figure it out. i'm not saying their wrong ya know huge learning experience.

thanks so much for the compliments
