First of all, your wife is beautiful! Her warm personality comes thru in this shot.

However, the pose isn't particularly flattering. When people lean back into a chair, the lens tends to magnify what's closest to the lens.

It has a snapshot feel to it. In this instance without making her move but to give it more presence, next time maybe shoot standing above her, or behind her and have her turn around. Or if you wanted to expiriment more, have her straddle a chair backwards so she has something to do with her hands.

I hope this is helpful....if you're wanting ideas the people section has some great fashion photographers that have a lot more experience than me posing models.

A good rule to remember.....Never shoot straight on...Always have your subject (wife)
turn her shoulders slightly or alot, your choice, to keep from getting the, I call it the "full back" look...Football Full Back that is...shoulder pads look...etc...And as urb said, flooped back in a chair isnt very flattering either...Unless its just a quick snap type of a picture...
Suitable for frameing is what you need to be going for...The wife will love you for it...:G
