Just got a set of macro lenses from ebay and thought i'd try them out in the garden!!

The noise is very high...what ISO are you shooting at?

i agree, this shot is very noisey. If the spider was still and it looks prety sunny i dont think theres a need for iso to be so hi. If it is that which is causing it.

I find the distortion or refraction in the bottom right a bit distracting also.

I hope you dont mind, just quickly recomposed, (im still not sure about composition though) eliminated most of the noise, and sharpend the shot. Personally i think insect shots always look great nice and sharp.

Ohh yea, and if you post your shots in jpeg format, you can probably get a cleaner image bcse i think bmp is not as compressed.

How do i make them into jpg format? Also i'm not sure what the iso was at the time it was on automatic settings and thats on a fuji s9500. What exactly would you have had the iso set to (200 maybe 400) Thanks anyway for your feedback

Oh also when iv'e looked at the pictures on my PC they look ok but as soon as i upload them they seem to lose quality, or is that just me!!!

The PP done is nice but the shot started out a bit overexposed.
