Hi All,

Was out playing this evening with my 30D as I have only used it for sports shots so far.

I used flash at 1/8th power and exposed for 15seconds at f7.1. This was to allow the boat to remain sharp as there was quite a bit of movement and still get the dof needed. I had to then bring the levels up quite a bit to get the definition I wanted.

Let me know what you think. What would you do to improve it?

Thanks,

Mark - www.photographysmith.co.uk

Did a try a version without flash on the boat. I find there is a little busyness to the picture when the boat is included. I am absolutely no expert on composition or DOF or anything. But I found my eye drawn to the boat first, which distracts a little from the bridge, which I feel is the more beautiful subject.

I think its a lovely shot, the composition and exposure looks good to me, the boat is a little bright, but I like it. ( been across that bridge many times but not at night pity really )

I think that the picture has a great composition.

Thanks everyone. I am fortunate as I only live about 5 mins from there and can see the river from my living room :-)

I had posted this in another forum and it was mentioned that the boat was a little bright so I did an edit to bring it down a little. What do you think to that?
