This is a good picture, I just don't like the lights in the background, and I think his face, in some spots may be a little to bright, so a faster shutter, probably wouldn't hurt.

I agree with the Sarge, but the bright face doesn't bother me as much as those lights do. Nice thoughtful expression you caught there. Some photoshop could take care of the BG.

Edit: Here was a quick edit to show you a way you could go. Cloned out the lights, copy the BG paste to a new layer, set layer to multiply, burned down the highlights on his forehead a little, a little more midtone contrast in levels and cleaned up a few stray hairs. It always helps to start with a good shot like this one.

I really liked this pic very much, and even more after GoCubs' edit. I think B&W was definitely the way to go. Ria

Yes, GoCubs edit is better. Just for those little changes it makes a big difference.

I'dsay no more than that'sa greatcapture of a dramatic expression having a lot of potential as we see in thedecent edits started by GoCups and then scorpionfish. Omitting the distracting elementsat the background is a good idea indeed.Works great in B&W!

Thanks for sharing, drewaz
