What better day could there be to make my 1000th post and to be able to thank everyone for the advice and support over the past year and wish you a happy blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year.

I tried to find a shot for the birth of Christ but as I wasn't able to be there I thought this one was quite poignant.

Mark, very nice shot but the line in the upper left looks like an aircraft vapour trail, I eliminated it (quick and dirty edit) just to see if it improves the image.

What do you think?

Congrats on your 1000th Post, Mark! At firstI thoughtsome cropping from the top would be good. Butthen I realized that there's much onecould attribute to the vast sky over the the crosses. Ah,I felt I were nearGolgotha!

It is a beautiful place however this is actually on the north coast of Devon in the south west of the UK at a Christian conference centre.

Thanks.

What a very beautiful shot, Mark ~ and such a fitting one, at that. You know, I was so captivated by your photo that I hadn't even noticed the vapor trail until Ira mentioned (and removed) it. 'can't wait to show this one to my wife.

Great capture.

Blessings,

Nathan

Thanks Nathan. I took the pic over a year ago but I also hadn't taken any notice of that vapor trail (and that's even with it being on the wall right in front of me when walking through my front door..... oh well live and learn.
