I like the 3d feel and surreal nature of this image. To me it seems like there's a bit too much out of focus, I think I would have preferred a broader depth of field. I think it would help to crop the picture down some, probably right below the reflection of the shoreline in the background. This could help emphasize the in focus area and enhance the surreal effect by simplifying the scene.

Nice work.

i like it lots........much more creative than lots i look at.....sorta shot id have been proud to have taken.

couple of comments are........id maybe crop it so not too much was out of focus and keep eye contact with feather .......or just tilt it a bit to level the horizon.....am not saying shots not level but i feel it would maybe look better if it was square.

oh one last thing to try next time.....try giving it a bit more depth of field

great shot though

I like it just the way it is. I would not change a thing in this picture. I like the lake in the back ground and the way the clouds reflect in it. I also like howthe feather just grabs your eye. I like the way everything holds your interest enough to study it further. Good work of ART.

Thanks, Y'all :}
The reason I cropped the way I did was for the eye to wander the huge OOF area and the POP right to the feather.
I and with the DOF, I shot it tight for fear that, with all the sand grain, it woould have been too noisy...
Thanks again :}

Well, You actually nailed it perfect. My eye went streight to the feather and then I started to really look at the rest of the Photograph. Like I said before, "A true work of ART"

I, too, love this picture exactly the way it is. The lake in the background leads me to think of it as the destination of the feather's owner.
