Taken on New Years Eve Day about 1:30. Olympus C8080-67th floor of Rockerfeller Center.

Hi, a very difficult shot to get due to the lighting. The only way that you can do this one is to take 2 exposures (one for the highlights/sky and one for the buildings) then put them together in PS or similar. Also make sure that you straighten a shot while editing it as your horizon and the building are both off to the left. One thing to remember is you don't always need to have your subject right in the middle, it might work better if you pulled it off to the left (or right) so it is 1/3 of the way across the frame.

I read in Pop Photo that pics taken mid-day are almost unlikely to be "winners" - perhaps a sunrise/sunset or night shot would be worth trying to compare.
