i quite like the repetition and pattern in this shot.

again i think a boost in contrat would help this shot. it may even be worth trying this shot in mono.

yes. i hink the boosted contrast has helped the image. i think when you have a subject with a pattern you want to make sure it really punches out. looks good

ken

after looking at both, indeed the colour version works much better. Generally mono coversions draws the eye in to take more attention on form and texture. hense why i toght it may work in this situation
