TCav

I like these recent pictures among other things because of the sparse (hope it´s the right word in english) colours and the overall tastefulness.

I like this one particularly for obvious reasons; simple and effective composition in a capture of a nature phenomenon

Thanks for posting

Torgny

The electicity went out at about 4AM. I couldn't use my computers. I couldn't watch TV. My wife was bundled up in front of the gas fireplace with her battery powered 5" B&W TV. I looked out the window, saw the layer of ice on our hedges, grabbed my camera and spent three hours walking around in the cold taking pictures.

My electricity came back at about 4PM (I was lucky!) but the cable TV and internet didn't come back until the following day.

Though less than 10 miles from Washington, DC, southern Prince George's County is rural and heavily wooded. Unfortunately, when we lose power, it is under the kinds of conditions that one's first inclination is to be bundled up in front of the gas fireplace.

This was different. It was during the daylight hours, and the wind was still, so the cold wasn't so biting. I did, however, keep my shutter release finger pocketed.

I have others, but they are in a similiar vein.
