I go hiking up here a lot and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that could make these photos turn out a bit better? Taken with a Canon SD600, but I just ordered a Panasonic FZ7, wasn't quite ready to take the step up to DSLR ($$$)!

Thanks

Photobucket resized it when I uploaded it, but you get the idea.

I know they're nothing special, but I'm still learning...Can't wait for the camera to get here.

i actually quite like both of these mate.

Your shot with the bench is well exposed. I think you could try a lower fstp to geenrate a greater focus on the bench (if this is what you want ofcourse).

I think you can even try a bit of fill flashing to sorta bring you foreground or subject to lifea bit more. I generally shoot in ap priority mode and then dial in a flash compensation of -1.333 to fill shadows.

It makes a huge difference.

I thik the fz7 has flash compensation on it so you can try it out.

Hi ChrisBaAZ,
I liked both the shot ,a very difficult choice for me.Each has something to hold my attention.A very tough choice
OK,I say # 1 is better,b'coz it give the impression that I am setting on it and watching the vast expasion of land.very well done.
but wait a second on #2 that intensive look + deep thought + contempaltive look .That looks great.

OK I give up
