It was an extremely cold day just outside Chicago when this photo was taken. It's an old railroad swing bridge that's used as a bicycle path now.

The eye is lead over the bridge very well, and it's one of those cold bright days on snow that makes exposure difficult, so I'd say you did well. I'm wondering what explains the areas over the grating which are free of snow?

The grating has nothing beneath, so the snow fell through the grating.
