i took this at a friends house.

1/2000 shutter, 3.9 aperture, spot metering, -0.3 exp bias,

iso 100, focal length 71

The exposure and control of the background shows the blossom to good advantage and inclusion of the branches is pleasing to my eye, however, the shadow on the blossom is distracting imo. Lots of promise is revealed about your approach to this type shot.
