Hello everyone,

I have been wanting to try HDR for a long time now, and with a 30D shortly on the way, I wanted to learn how before hand.
I used a Canon S3 IS with -2 +2 bracketing.

I found it very hard to keep the photos, real, looking.
They tend to get over saturated and sureal looking.
They also seem to get noisey at times.
I applied some sharpening to the flashlight photo, that seemed to help.

Here is my best one.

Please have a look on my page, for formatting reasons, I think it would be easier.
Any tips would be greatly apreciated.

I looked at your web site and you certainly did get better results as you continued to try. Seeing the three exposures was helpful to me, getting started with this process. Your landscapes turned out well with evidence of the technique helping shadow detail a lot.
