March here in Chicago isn't usually this nice. While on a walk through the woods, I happened to find a lonely flower (Siberian Squill) in the leaf litter . It was the only color other than brown for thousands of feet around, and a nice reminder that spring is really here.

Nikon D40
70 - 300mm lens

The sharp focus on the near leaf really sets the stage for the flowering plant. I'm really liking the 70-300 use, too, on the D40.
