I took this shot in Balboa Park. I would appreciate your feedback.

I coulda sworn I've seen this before... :? (oh and can I ask how you blended the blue bg with the image? I might try it in PS sometime )

Create a new backround the same size as the photo you are going to blend, fill new backround with a solid color( your choice) and move your photo over the solid color.Then go to your layers palette and at the bottom click on the layer styles button and adjust the blend if sliders until you achieve your result.

I don't seem to have that function (I am using elements, probably different.). I guess using opacity amounts of levels etc, and filters, could produce similar effects.
I also agree with Kaspian (and you on the other thread you made), this looks very much like a painting by Monet I've seen somewhere.
