What can I use tocut down on the haze in the background/mountains? A filter, a polarizer? I tried messing with levels in photoshop but it didn't help.

Thanks!

Chris

yes you will cut down on haze a little, if you use a polarizer but not a lot, the best thing is to alter your time of day that you shot, I have tried myself to minimize the haze but not had much luck.

Thanks Alex! I was just thinking about the time of day. We should of stayed out a little longer  Maybe I'll pickup a polarizer and give it try. I'll take whatever I can get :-)

Chris, You probably tried this already, but I put it into Picasa and added some shadow and some highlights. This is how it came out.

I too have a problem with haze. I'm impatient. The one time that I took my time is when I photographed a tree, this was on 3 different occations. Used 3 36 exp slide. the best time was when the sun was low in the horizon. In the mountains that is not easy.
