i am not a fan of the borders that you use, i find them very distracting.

also, there seems to be a problem with your colours. the front of the train is RED, and the grass in the background is GREEN, to the point where they are almost luminous.

there is also something wrong with the smoke stack and thing behind - they seem to be merging into the sky somehow - have you done something to the sky or was it just a very bright day?

i do like the composition and the subject - is it near you that wee train?

Thanks for looking, yesthe station is only 20 mins from me, I painted the sky in, I should have taken more time reallyit was a very bland sky should have shot at a different time of day .

alexjames,this is an another interesting set by you .Again I think it is effect which you wish to create and done it very well.Is it the kindergarden school book picture??? .Well I can't say about others,but for me I like the over "all effect" .BTW what is the secret of the border??PLZ share

Thanks mcliu, no secret I just make my own now and again, or download the ones which I think will be usefull sorry ( brushes ) I mean, just paint around the canvas with them.
