i really like nature, but in these shots there doesn't seem to be a main subject. also there is no context. it makes the pics harder to digest. just a thought . what do you think?

Hi Bill,

1 and 3 I find interesting but the other two do nothing for me. The colours and textures in the first work OK but would say 3 is the strongest as the dof means the background is alluring while framed by the branches.

Green, but deep green to green with yellow, green with brown, and green with blue. Like the other two commenters I'm a little lost and hope you'll have a revelation for us.

Like the other posters said, most of the photos are way too busy; I'm getting lost trying to find the main subject. #1 has nice exposure; I like the various shades of green and the composition. Nice use of the green as a frame for #3; however, the branch itself isn't very interesting. The leaves are also slightly overexposed. In general, if I were you, I would work on really isolating the main subject from the background. If the overall green is what you're going after, perhaps try a little wider angle to give some more scale to the image. Maybe add a bug or some differently colored subject to add a focal point. If technically possible, try focusing in real close on the leaves to isolate & capture the details, such as the shape of the leaves.
