Hey all, I recently bought a Samsung GX-10 and have started playing around. Here's my first pic. I've never had a DSLR before (or SLR for that matter) so I'm really excited to get into this more!

Thoughts?

Hello Nix....
Your second shot is good...I like all the different things you see in the shot...Trees, water, clouds, sun rays, etc...Good shot...
Shot #1 is different...not bad but not really great...It is interesting because of the reflection off the car roof...photo shop out the other 2 cars and it might look better...
Great start though....

Thanks for the feedback! I hear you about the first shot. I really liked the colors, lighting and reflection but wished I had a different angle. The tree dead center and the hill on the left don't quite work well for me. I tried some cropping but couldn't find something that kept the parts of the image I like while maintaning balance.

Oh well.

Cheers,

nix

2nd shot is real nice, esp as the sun isn't burnt out - a popular problem with dSLR.

I like them both, and I disagree about PSing out the 2 cars in the first shot. I'm a big fan of context, and those two cars make it clearer where the foreground reflection is coming from.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on removing the cars either. I like the silhouettes.
