WOW! I love all the pictures you do of the abandoned buildings. There is a lot of emotion in them, you want to know the story behind them. I can almostclose my eyes and imaginethem full of people.Do you ever get a creepy feeling like there are still people there? Where do you find all of these buildings?

Amazing photographs!

Awesome!

"Urban Ruins" are one of my favourite subjects, but we just don't get things like that in the UK (at least without some serious security around it)

Here's one of my favourite sites for this subject (if you and the mods don't mind) it's in Japanese, but it should be easy to figure out (or just pm me if you need help)

So long as we're sharing urban ruins galleries... this guy just kills me.

http://www.opacity.us/

The sheer volume and variety is just staggering.

Nice shot, Gemini, like all your shots on this subject that you've posted here over the years. I'm so jealous that you're able to explore places like this. There was a TB hospital in my hometown, but when I returned there recently, I found that it had been purchased.

Keep on exploring and posting!

Nice to see others are interested in this sort of thing!

I would love to find somewhere like this within a reasonable travelling distance, but our obsession with redevelopment means nothing stands still long enough before being turned into a pay-and-display car park...

I have added your site Gemini to me favourites, If I am ever in NY, you have to show me some of these places!

i really like old buildings shot like this

the composition is spot on and so is exposure

i tried so work on your image like i would have if it was mine, hope u dont mind, i like the colour shot but thought it may look moodier and haunting if carefully made black n white.........tried a few techniques i use on both these shots, first one is a couple of black n whites shots blended in various modes till it looked ok, then slight levels adjustmant

second is a black n white image over your colour with blend mode set to luminosity

It's funny, but I find the colors on of the creepiest elements in most of these type of shots. Somehow the reality is much creepier than anything you might imagine... expept for this gallery...

creepy...
