i love b&w i love that image! the grain of the wood. it tells a story. the shspe of the hat old style turned down crown! the same as i have. must say good work. but im a red neck what do i know! rick

It is a nice shot, but could use a little bump in contrast and a little decrease in exposure.

I presume that the horse and rider are the subjects of this photo, and so I think the grain of the wood and the imprints in the ground beyond, detract from the subject. I think the B&W conversionprobably made this a less interesting image.

....thanks very much for the comments.

I did the B&W convert because I could not make the original satisfy me regardless of effort with PS elements 4.0 and given my PS ability which is mostly at a basic level I was not able to make the B&W as I wanted either. So, it just could be that I don't know what I wanted in this photo.

I will likely reShoot this, I go to the FW stockyards a few times each year, it is only 20 minutes for me.
