I mounted two linear polarizing filters on my S700. Since its an auto focus camera I should use a single Circular Polarizing filter. The difference between the two photos is the rotation of one of the filters 90 degrees. The picture gets darker. Turning another 20 degrees results in a much darker image and totally blue in color. In the two pics posted there is a shadow on the large bottle in one pic and no shadow in the other while at the same time the reflections in the front bottle seem to be in reverse to the lighting condition. When the reflection should be lighter its darker. Am I missing something? I know there is more than just polarization going on here. Is it just less light resulting from the lining up of the two lenses? Or is there something more?
