Hello Alex

Both are interesting takes on the same photo... and I think a totally desaturated (B&W) would also be.

I like the composition, those curved gravestones contrast with the pointy entrance. However I also feel drawn to wonder what the wider perspective is....

Thanks for sharing. Perhaps the colour wins it for me in the end.

For me the deciding factor is the checkerboard floor of the lychgate. I believe thats what it is called. The colors there are very attractive. Your B&W version is also quite good with just the touch of color to the daffodils. But your color version is my favorite.

I think the color photo is very nice, but I honestly don't understand the point of highlighting the daffys in the second image. It makes no aesthetic sense to me, and seems more like an exercise for a photography class, where you learn the mechanics of the technique without giving any particular thought to why you would want to do such a thing. One strong vote for the color shot.

BTW: The color shot works best for me. The BW shot looses some detail differentiation and homogenizes the shot a little too much. The colorkeeps that missing element.

Dear Alex, do yellow flowers, namely the narcissus, hint ofintuition (which can cross many a lifetimes!) to you as well?? (Well, I'm not much after metaphysics : )

Anyway, I'll go B&W in such an image where texturematters most! However, the impact of the yellow flowers should be balanced bymore emphasize on the B&W, IMO! I also applied some photo filter. Hope you don't mind ; )
