I set this up using a glycerine hand cleaner instead of water. Lighting was with flash only.

Really nice Bynx the colours are nice and vibrant its nice and sharp and that reflection is spot on mate.

You might also want to try corn syrup instead of glycerine.

Really imaginative job tastefully bringing the contrasting and, therefore, complementary colours of green and redI'd agree with reducing the number of the hotspots,mentioned above by vIZnquest. Still, keeping a few would be fine imo.

I can get rid of the hot spots with photoshop. They are hard to avoid since the flash is going off about 4 or 5 inches in front of the drop. I also had a lightbulb illuminating the rose so the red was richer without shadows.

Well thats the reason we have a critique forum. Thanks guys. Here it is without the glare.

Much better looking without the hot spots and the tighter crop.
