Hi Bynx,

Great photo! Very special lighting / composition / reflection / background. Cool retro, but still timeless in a way.

"Start at the CORE of the matter"... :G Ok... you're thinking I'm a nut and I deserve this...

By the way Bynx, it looks so freshly peeled, I don't see any oxidizing of the apple flesh (yet).... so... knowing your patience... how many photos did you take??

And this is photo x of y??? I'll guess, this is photo 5 of 73? Did photos after 20 displayed increasing amounts of brownness in the apple flesh? :?

Paul, I only took 3 maybe 4 shots. Playing with the composition only. Thats why no oxidizing. I have an apple peeler which does the work. After the shots I put it back on the gyzmo and finished peeling and coring it then ate it before I went to sleep.

My 'liberal' (not leftie enough for me) newspaper 'The Guardian' has just had a long correspondence in its 'letters to the editor' page about whether or not to eat the apple core (as I do along with everyone else's, when they're not too fastidious to offer it to me instead of binning it).

See http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2008/apr/11/1(bottom half of page) to taste theflavour (Granny Smith?, Cox's Orange Pippin? New Zealand climate-destroying Braeburn?). This is just the latest bit; it's been going on for weeks. Haven't we more important things to think about?

Which imaginative photographic topic will you tackle next, I ask?

Alan you arent by chance from K-Pax? When they visit our world they eat everything....banana skins, apple cores. Everything is completely gone when they are finished. (For full explanation see movie K-Pax with Keven Spacey).
