I shot this a while back but haven't done anything with it yet (besides slight rotation). Any thoughts on cropping or adjustments to get the most out of it?

Here is my current interpretation as an 8x10. Feel free to play with it.

That yellowish light makes the the picture look mysterious. Your 2nd cropped one is better. The web on the right aint that sharp...and besides..now the focus is onto the 2 webs instead of 3....

I like the second crop better. Your drawn to the two webs instead of trying to look at both sides of the vertical structure. Great shot!

The 3rd crop tells too little of the surrounding place where the 2 webs are.

Are they hanging at a house? chair? your arm pits? where?

The 2nd crop tells the viewer more...Also...the light source can almost be seen...makes the viewer also wonder...what's this light? more things...moreinteresting that way.

Edit: I am still wondering when this pic is taken...just an interesting light...and i think this is an phoneline pole is it not? (I am dutch..all our lines are in the ground)

The webs were on the lines next to a utility pole outside my house. The picture was taken on a foggy night last fall with the yellow street light across the street obscured by the pole.

I think this is what makes a photographer good...this is also what a professional told me:

Take a shot of an very common thing and take that at the right time, etc so that the pic is special. Every one can take a photgraph of a crying kid in a disaster place... or a man / woman crying over the loss of their child...

Let's all of us together and be creative.
