Hello everybody,

Very long time I haven't visited and posted in this subforum. Attached is the photo I took two years ago with my Canon EOS 20D when I was on board a tug vessel along side the jetty in my home town, Vungtau, Vietnam. The sky that day was extremely overcast telling me that it would rain and storm sooner or later. That was in April. Suddenly , it became very windy and started raining. I came across a salvage vessel inbound from offshore to the channel and behind was the storm. Then, I took shots of the scene. The photo was processed a bit in photoshop to enhance the color and saturation.

Your critiques and comments are welcomed.

Thank you and regards,

Quan

I really like this shot, the colours are great (possibly slightly too much but not a lot) and the composition is very pleasing.

The only thing that is lost a little, I think but can't be 100% sure on this size, is the white on the tug is blown so you are missingsome of the shape of the superstructure.

Nice work and glad you are back posting here.

I like the shot. But I think maybe a tighter crop - cut out some of the upper right and make the storm more looming:

Dear All,

Thank you for your comments. I strongly agree with Bahadir that the crop version done by John is very much better. I will note this when print out large size.

Regards,

Quan
