hey

i'm trying to learn some studio techniques and lightning configurations.
i've used my first digital camera as a model and i would appreciate some critiques on this first attempt.

I see a little shadow on the camera attachment ring on the left.

Right and top side of the camera are dark, not much lit by light.

Notice the sticker: 4.1 mega pixel is dark compared to other writings. How come?



You will need at least 2 light sources to counter the dark shadows: 2 flash devices, 2 permanent light sources or one light and one flash device.

you're right about your critique. i used my desk lamp to illuminate from rear-up and used my built in flash in fill flash mode with a home made diffuser.

the darker areas i think were made by the angle of the shot. i didn't shot from the model level. i was a few inches up, making a diagonal shot

Say? They sell those special object diffusers (not officially called) . Any object inside will be evenly lit from many sides. Not sure what brand that item was.

Remember one thing again: move the object further away from the wall, less shadows then.

I am practising :|too. Keep on the good work.
