Some shutter delay, 3 or 4 seconds, Stir the chocolate a little and shoot! Small table lamp for lighting

It's not really that creamy! C&C would be nice!

I think presentation means a lot. If it were a food ad photo there would be nothing but the cup, the chocolate and the spoon. The slopped chocolate doesnt make the photo very appealing. Give the cup a wipe and see how that looks. Also watch your focus. The whole top of the cup should be nice and sharp.

That's much better indeed.

I'm not sure about the (too) dark corners and the piece of cup missing though.

That's an excuse for one more chocolate... at least

Your efforts have not been in vain. Id certainly drink that last cup of chocolate. I like the darkened corners since this gives more focus on the contents of the cup. Nice job. I can imagine the name of the chocolate with some catch line to encourage you to buy the chocolate. By the way, the darkened woodgrain base is more in keeping with the chocolate brown color theme. All in all, very nicely done.

You got it Simmi. In the first 3 shots your focus should be all on the cup of chocolate. The table, floor, door are all distractions and looks very amateurish. Your last shot is pretty good and more professional looking. It has a warmth to it and makes it pleasing to look at. Now if only you could add some steam, either by it being hot in a cold room, or by use of Photoshop.

Simmi

The last shot is better in every way than the first 3. Much improved! It's all about learning, and a lot of us enjoy learning on these forums.

Like Bynx, I'd drink that last cup... but wouldn't the first 3!! Well done.

Keep sharing the photos.
