Pointes Des Chenes is a local beach at the start of the St. Mary's River where Lake Superior empties.

All taken with Canon XTi - kit 18-55

Hey, sounds like a great place to shoot

I liked the 'sensible' tranquilty in your pictures, which seems to have been appreciated familywide : )

Btw, my fave is #1 compositionwise. Others also a beautiful setting but a bit much centralized imo. However the sky seems like a bit overexposed in #1. So, I simplyintended to give backits late afternoon colours. Oh, I did notdoany extra colouring! Hope you don't mind.

Agree...most sunsets tend to be shot with a long horizon....

but this picture has it's land on one side of the picture...very refreshing...makes me look longer.... and does give a ' ow' momnt --> mmm that's also possible...
