I took a great photo of my 6 month old son reaching for an apple during our recent apple pickin' outing. The photo itself is not perfect, I would have loved to have gotten more of his face, but it was a 500ms opportunity and I was happy to have gotten one this good.

What I have done was to mod the photo in several different ways. Let me know what you think and which you like best and why.

slight darkening of the edges.

mild sepia tone, hat in vivid color, apple in less vivid color (bring the attention to the boy and not the action or the apple)

same as previous, except B&W

only the hat is in vivid color

and finally the apple in vivid color, draws the attention to the action of reaching for the apple

It's a shame that he wasn't reaching with the other hand so his face wasn't blocked. Too much of the face is covered to make it about the boy, so I prefer your final edit making it about the action.

Nice editing!

cute child, some nice edits, I agree its a pity you have not got the face fully in shot but with children you have to shoot for the moment so I understand you cant always get the shot as you would like
