Hey,
with the current monthly challenge in the pentax forum I was trying to use my camera in a different way and I selected some shots to show you. What I am interested in is: are these (too) boring, do you like them etc.? Normally I use small f-stops, try to get my main object in DOF, frame the shot etc... butI am talking about f/2..f/5.6 or so here. Available light, no flash. Also my focal length would be 50, 85, 135 or 200mm. That kind of things. In these shots we talk about f/8..f/22, some with flash and focal length 18-35mm. (ok, the "Still life with garden chair" is f/4 and 85mm... but that's the only exception) A wide DOF, sometimes a somewhat fuzzy overall feeling (maybe some optical thingie above f/16?) and a (almost) "sleeping" garden (late fall here), that's the ingredients. I am not really sure about these, I choosed some from my attempts that I like for some reason. Taken with Pentax DL2 and kit lens.

#1 - "Still life with garden chair" - that's the shot that "lured" me outside, saw this scenery while having breakfast, saw the light and so on, the lonely chairs, that stood there, forgotton, alone, the sunflower and the background. Grabbed my camera, still with the 85/2 lens and took this picture, a memory to say so - and went back to breakfast. I like the scenery very much...

@Bahadir
You asked about pictures from my garden... here you go

#5 - "a new beginning (2)" - I like the colors here, even the color of the soil. And the shadow, of course . November sun... yeah.

#10 - "subtle observer" - my cat was curious and used his "lookout" in the bird feeder. While he usually flees when I come too close (he knows that we don't want to sit him in a bird feeder, duh) this time he just ignored me and I could snap that portrait. Last shot from this series, thanks for looking - I hope you enjoyed it.

Th.
