You would be best off submitting a single photo for c&c instead of your portfolio. Personally I like the cactus shot. It has the feel and look of an Escher litho. As for the rest I find them uninteresting. Let me ask you....would you proudly hang any of them on your wall? If so why?

Sometimes I think that posts in the Criticism thread should start off with....I like my submission because..... followed by.....so what do you think. Then we, as new observers, have some reference point to the submitters view of his/her work. It would make us think more deeply than just a quick glance and thinking great, good or boring and moving on. I never like to put someones efforts down, but sometimes I think, what where they thinking to submit something like this. And with no input from them at all we are left guessing. You thanked me for responding but you said nothing about my statement about posting a single photo or 2 instead of a portfolio for c&c. Also whether you would be hanging any of these or not and why? Your last sentence was a bit on the defensive I think. Im sure there are lots of pics Ive seen I didnt like that others loved. And that goes for my submissions as well. Ive never submitted anything here I didnt at least like. I just hope Ive never submitted any that weren't worth a second glance. And I hope you take my comments in the spirit in which they were offered.

Judging from your earlier 'hdr goes mono' seriesyou tendto be stronger on mono architectural hdr pictures especially. Of course there's always room for improvement through experience, because tastes, though cannot be discussed, fortunately, could certainly be improved and Bynx's remarks are the ones I often remind myself! Btw, the last one above, though colourful, attracted my attention.Ah, humanperception is such a nuisance which always finds the faults even through intution without needing to know them! As for my pictures they are the ones I give up dealing within the end or even in advance :-)
