After reading some tutorials on doing high-key photography using white seamless paper, I decided to give it a try. This was a quick setup with no planning, so the post is definitely awkward. I mainly wanted to test the technique.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Well I see those mysterious 18 bozos have viewed your photo Illuminati and left without so much as a word. Well I say f*** em and a pox on their mother. Now to your submission. Its very well lit and the composition is good. All round, nice job. What did you use for front illumination? It wasnt just a flash was it?

I used a single flash mounted with a shoot-through umbrella for front illumination. There may have been some light hitting the sides of my face from the background, but the foreground flash was the primary source of front illumination. I also had a work light coming from the left, but test shots without my foreground flash showed the work light contributed nothing to front illumination.

Well nice lighting. And a good setup. I only have my built-in flash and a couple of 60 watt light bulb extensions in my bag of tricks.

How about the same shot but with a black background instead. Same front lighting. Id be interested in seeing how that looks.
