Hey guys!

I took this photo of my girlfriend with her Canon A590IS to prove to her that you can take great photos, even with a point and shoot. I myself own a Rebel XSi.

What do you think of it? Good and bad opinions welcome.

Hi, it has a lot going for it, a good b&w edit, good post and reflection but the eye instantly goes to the horizon as it is not straight. If you fix that you will be in a lot better position.

Well the reason the horizon is not straight is because I took the photo from the side, not while I was in front of her!!!...LOL...It wasn't a planned photo. She was just walking around the beach doing what you see there and I took the photo without her even knowing!!!!!

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

I was just suggesting a quick edit to the photo so that it looks more natural then there won't be that added distraction to what is a good photo.

I will try to fix it somehow in Photoshop. It will be interesting to see how it goes. Thanks!

It's a really quick one, here it is for you and the rotation needed is about 2.4 degrees.

Well Mark, that larger size really helps. I suppose any camera like object will take great pictures if they are the size of a thumbnail.
