Had no light to work with at all, which I feel leaves one element needed, if used properly, to give a frame some DOF.

But nevertheless, I was hoping to capture some depth in this foggy afternoon shot down at the marina.

Appreciate any and all comments :homey:

There is some depth there.

However the composition is somewhat lacking. It's difficult to see what the center of interest is.

I could choose the posts, the bird on the post, or the mountain in the background or perhaps the yellow deck or the bird above it.

Try picking an item of interest, then use the "rule of thirds" to frame it. Usually you end up with a fairly good shot.
