Trying my luck at some abstract photography. What do you think of this photo?

I really like the idea and the lighting is greatbut for me there is something about either the position or the crop (or both) of the flower that don't quite work. I've been trying to think in my minds eye what or where things would feel more comfortable but I'm not totally sure. Did you have any others from the shoot?

Wonderful idea and very creative lighting. Don't care for the way the flower has been cropped off at the bottom. Then again that is a personal preference of mine not to cut the main subject off in a picture. Though it is or is becoming a very popular trend to crop off part of a subject, so be careful taking tips from well seasoned (didn't want to say old) photographers. Keep being creative and shooting.

^ i agree with the cropping.. kinda wish there was a bit more to it at the bottom, but the idea and the way the bokeh'd light radiates off of the subject is exquisite..

really great idea and nice job!
