Standing under the pier while the tide was going out. Couldn't help the blown background, but do you think I got enough elements to keep it interesting anyway?

Sure : )I liked the variousrepetitive elements rendering a strong perspective, altogether, leading to the whiteout vanishing point (couldbe made smaller though using the clone toolfollowing the distortion session),oh, and the contrasting colours of rust and the moss. You might even further emphisize the effect using the distortion tool, imo!

Like the contrast in the colors, the green in the wood to the red rust on the metal. Like the blown background, it adds to the cool feeling of being under the pier. You could maybe tone down the background just a bit.

I wouldnt worry about the blown backgroun. It adds to feeling of leading into somewhere, unknown.
