Took this while out today. The only thing I have done to the photo is to try and straighten up the vertical lines. I am limited in what I can do in terms of other fixes (using FastStone) but I would appreciate any suggestions.

Regards

:-)First, you need to get closer to fill the frame. Second, the shadow cuts the church in half: a few steps to the left may reduce this effect somewhat.

I am not clear from this photo is called "Pioneer Church." There are loads of similar buildings throughout New England (Congregational and Presbyterian) and the South (Baptist).:?

I think in Ontario, anything built before 1945 is considered 'pioneer'. This isnt a bad shot. I like the way the path leads right up to the church door. The other buildings around the church are not necessary. I also lightened up the background trees to make the church stand out a bit more.

I think its a nice photo, I too like the path way, it does lead the eye up to the church, a touch of levels as Bynx did and it looks good.

Thanks for the responses. The critiques and the edit of my photo will help me.

When I took the shot I did so paying attention to the path leading to the church. I may have been too focused on that one aspect that I neglected some other details of the composition.
