By cropping off from righthandside I intended toforce the attentionto the repetetive relationbetween the subject, the thisle, andthe background of the same species while avoiding a centralsubject compositionwise.

Nice original shot of the thistle jolly. However I have to agree on Bahadir's take with his crop. There is a bit too much empty space to the right of the subject. Taking his rendition one step further, I would clone out the parts of the purple thistle on the left side. There is not enough to see but too much to ignore.

And thanks for your courtesy in return : )Regarding your second version, well...better than the first one, still, I think you'd better take the advice by Bynx at this point and clone out the projecting purple extensionsof the thisle rather than cropping off that part altogether, for this version looks a bit much central, imo,blocking the gaze rather than allowinga path to the background and somewhat lopsided as well..Hope you don't mind!
