I was playing around with some slow shutter speeds trying to get shots of a small fountain I have in my back yard. I wasn't happy with the 'water fall' shots, but got this one. Any comments on composition, saturation, anything else? It was pretty dry, so I tried to sprinkle some water from the fountain on the flowers for effect - did it work? (Canon 50D, 55mm, ISO 100, 1/3sec, f/13)

I think your flower shot is good...Nice DOF, nice color, good composition and the water droplets do add to the shot...The second shot really doesn't have much of an interest point to it...If you zoomed in on the fountain itself it might be more interesting...I think the small amount of flowers around the fountain doesn't help it either...If you had the flowers you see on those damn miricle grow commercials you would have a winner...:?
