Default Heron With Red Winged Blackbird

I am new to DSLR (Pentax K2000) and still learning but was really excited when I got this picture this morning of a Heron and a Red Winged Blackbird.

Your feedback is appreciated.

It's an amazing capture and really sharp at this size but the full size is seems very soft, I'm not sure if it out of focus or just that the lens is soft at that length. Looking at some of the other shots it is probably that as you are getting near the max reach of the lens and with a wide aperture it is going soft.

I'm not 100% sure that my analysis is correct without knowing the lens you are shooting with.

No matter what still a great capture and a beautiful place to shoot, I would love to have been there.

I like it a lot. Nice colors and perspective. Actually, I liked the 2nd shot in your collection a little better.

Thanks for the nice comments. This is a similar photo taken at the same location.
