John,

I like this photo. I do however find the left edge of the falls centered in the photo. A slight crop off the left with some of the green gone would give the falls more impact.

Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

That would be it. At least that is what I meant in my first post.

The more I look at this picture the more I like actually : ) Yet, it is the extension of the log intersecting with the falls which I find somewhat distracting.
I also think counterbalancing the 'extended' left of the picture with the foliage on the right and a bit pp on the falls, you needn't crop, but simply trim or even might leave it altogether! Ah, it is all about composition and there might be more than one way of attaining it.
Below is sketch intended to illustrate my words only.

The removal of that log makes a difference in leaving it as is without the cropping and upon further review the crop actually accentuates the log distraction. The edit looks a bit dull though. Perhaps due to using the file from this site only rather than the original. I like the edit.

I agree - I like the removal of the log.

Very nice shot JohnG your hike was worth it, the cropped version looks alot better and also bahadir's removal of the log but looks a little dull

The edit is dull!! Oh, that's my edit there
Thank you for the heads up. I had to revise my Photoshop assign profile settings. The edit was intended merely a compositional sketch for minimum cropping off from the scene, though. Glad to read you liked it : )
