This is an easy one to play with. Attached is the playground PIX with paste in of the Jersey Devil at about 50% opacity. You can paste & resize all manner of images from skeletons to ghost/ghoul/witch images to scary faces/objects. Try various opacities & be sure to not get bitten by the JD (jersey devil).

What is it your trying to do? Just make the picture as it is scary, or are you asking to add elments to it? I think its kinda hard to begin with because it is pretty hard to see the swings themselves against the dark background. i played with it in photoshop with several different techniques and it was quite hard to seperate the two things...

it had to be really lightened to see it

but the other poster was right, it is easy to add in things to make it more scary

Ah I was trying to make it look scary just by itself. Kinda of like a black and white photo of an old abandoned prison might look. I see what you mean about the swings being hard to see against the backround.

I thought you should lighten it up a bit, from the original.
what iceblues did was great, though a bit too much lit... I would even try and darken the gravel in the front, or even blur it a bit... and get half the light that he added in.

try it out and play around, though basically it could go for a scary playground...
If you can get you're hands on a wide lens... it would look much different (in the process of getting myself a pair of lens in that sort!)
