I actually thought about cropping it but the thing that stopped me was the gull on the lampost LOL to the left handside when viewed i know you have to look for it to see it but on the otherversion i have you can see it quite well

bynx maybe i will do a cropped version from the originals

Cropping was not my intention but it ended up being necessary. I corrected the perspective aspect. The Parking sign on the right was leaning way to the left. The pole with the bird on top was leaning way to the right. To fix that perspective problem there was so little of the building on the right that what was left had to be removed. Only the little bracket attached is left. Then to center the building I thought it necessary to cut off the left side to match. I think there is a method to correct that look that the clock tower is leaning backwards but I dont know what it is. And the picture now looks like its all rotated to the right a degree or so. By the way, did I say I like what you have done. The B&W version looks very sharp and clear.

thanks my friend .... im only spending a few minutes on the editing today as ive loads of stuff to do you know how it is .... i always go back and re-do them in the future .... the clock tower may be leaning slightly backwards as i had the lens tilted up slightly everything leans in barnsley LOL you should see the council workers J/K

the b&w version was also done in photomatix then i tweaked the brightness and contrast a little using windows photo gallery

Good to see you so motivated! Well, after all, they say, early bird wins : ) Regarding the B/W and colourful versions, in fact, each one seems to have a merit in its own right. However, the B/W somehow pops out as Paul also stated above.

for me the first 1 has the most potential for my own tastes at least. you have some nice colors going here.

but a couple things bother me.

i would like to see the buildings distortion fixed a little bit, and the area around the tree are distractingly unnatural.

when i have more time i will have another go at it hards80 , im trying to juggle things around decorating the more natural look is quite easy to achieve i think it is just the distortion that may get me baffled a little .... but this building is going nowhere so weather permitting i can always have another go... both of the angles are actually none that i wanted to take it was just too early and the drinkers (party goers) were still walking about in town

i know the image isnt natural above was just another take
