The post production spoils the shot but the gorilla is great. Perfect pose.

i agree bynx ........ rtrull you have a fantastic shot here the original is definatly a keeper ..... i would rework the processing on this one you could achieve an amazing result when the right editing is performed take your time

a quick edit on the above posted.. you could loose the grass and tweak the original a lot more im sure your result will be fantastic the shot/pose itself is very good

Much better simon. What a great pose that is. I took my kids to the zoo recently and out of a couple hundred shots, gorillas included, I had one I was happy with. The gorillas were indoors and the lighting was just horrible. Not one shot I could even look at. Makes me appreciate this even more.

thanks to all 3 of you for your comments and your edits...that is why i post a few pics here.....you guys are honest about your opionions and that is how i learn things....i think i have always had a problem with doing to much in post processing...i have several shots of this guy that i think are pretty good...i would love to post them and hear from youguys again....thanks again randy.....ps i really like the B/W

your one lucky person to get shots like this as bynx mentioned it is rather hard nowadays to get a good shot due to cages compounds etc i would like to see more rtull but i would also like you to take your time on the processing at least on one im sure you will achieve a great result

IT SURE IS..... i cleaned my desktop up yesterday and when i was deleting about 50 images that were scattered about this one came up it was such a shame i had to hit the delete button rtrull definatly captured a great shot welldone!!
