Hello Balboo. I think you don't need those branches in first plane. That could help to the foggy effect. Cropped a little to get rid of the building in the left and the rain pipe in the right:

I agree with Ordo that the composition is not the best. Im not sure if I agree with the cropping done. I think the picture needs more and not less. Details like the drain pipe add to the pic rather than take away. The leaves on top help add to the effect because they make the fog in the background more noticeable. Maybe the same shot but standing in the middle of the road would have been more effective.

i prefer the leaves across the top a little noise etc added personally you lose yourself in the whiteness without the tree

I believe I like Simple's treatment of the photo the best. I like the photo a lot though anyhow. There aren't many "old looking" streets like that around my part of the planet.

Honestly Simple's changes look like its snowing...rather then fog.

I do like the original shot. As for the leaves on top...they are ok, but perhaps too many of them. If there were just a few it would be better....(cutting 1/2 is my thought..)

I like the original scene as it is - but then I would, wouldn't I - it looks strangely familiar to me...

Regards from Norway!
You are off to a good start here, Balboo! Welcome to a nice web-site and friendly Forum!!!

Thanks for your coments, i also tried to modify my crop a little. It is not much diffrent from original, but looks a bit cleaner - I left less space on the left, and a little bit more on the right and in the bottom.
ps The picture has been taken in Trakai town, Lithuania. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trakai here some info about it
