Default Feedback on Lighthouse Image

Any feedback on this image would be appreciated. I have been playing with combining images of this using HDR - but am curious for feedback on the original in terms of exposure, composition, etc. I've been monitoring this forum off and on for years and recently became reinvigorated in photography so am back out shooting.
Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Thanks, Charles

I think its a nice well balanced shot. Pleasing and relaxing to look at. The brightness of that red building is a little too much and I would be tempted to tone it down a bit. In fact Id make it the same color red as the roof of the main house.

A nice angle on this interesting subject/scene. In my opinion it needs to be cropped at the top and on the right, to draw one's focus to the main subject. Also, needs a bit of shadow/highlight adjustment and contrast. Here's what I would suggest.

Thanks Guys - great suggestions! Bynx - love your suggestion on toning down the bright red shed. Walter - you are right on with the shadow/highlight change and cropping out some of the clouds to bring focus more on the lighthouse.

A very peaceful shot. I like Walter's treatment on it also.

I agree with Bynx about toning down the saturation of the shed, but I like the open space to the right, even though it's a violation of the rule of thumb...
